Description

Color: Blue; Gold; Orange; White A lapel pin from the Los Angeles lodge of the B. P. O. E., or Elks, 1921, made by G. D. Childs & Co. [?], Chicago, 1921. The item has a central field in orange with a gold Elks logo at the center and the phrase "LOS ANGELES 1921" in a blue field below. At the sides are white fields with the letters "B.P." on one side and "O. E." on the other. At the reverse is the pin clasp, while engraved on the main field is the manufacturer's name, though there has been some wear, so the name is not entirely clear. With evidence of adhesive on the back from what was probably a price tag; light soiling; and minor tarnishing, the overall condition is fair.
