A cancelled bond coupon for the Los Angeles Gas Company, 8 June 1880. The item has a face value of forty dollars and is coupon number seven, bond number eleven, of a series. The certificate-style design has the company name, city, and coupon number at the top, the face value at the center in a dark field, the interest due date of 1 June 1880, the bond number, and an official's signature at the bottom, along with the preprinted name of the Anglo Californian Bank, Limited. Over most of the coupon is a cancellation stamp from that bank, dated 8 June 1880. Identical coupons, numbered nine, ten and twelve and thirteen are items 2.1, 2.2, 2.4 and 2.5 in this accession.
