LOS ANGELES HOUSE WITH BANANA PLANTS, ca. 1885.
Color: Black; White
The stereoscopic photograph shows a two-story house. The architectural detail shows quoin corners, clapboard siding, and arched entrances suggest it is an Italianate style. Banana trees are visible in front of the house, as well as a garden with another tree and hedges. On the reverse side of the stereoscopic photograph is a photographer's stamp with the name Ellis & Son of Los Angeles. It is in good condition despite the minor abrasions along the edge and discoloration to the image.
