Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a Los Angeles housing tract, May 9, 1926. At the left are two bungalow-style homes, one has a "FOR SALE" sign in the front yard. On the sidewalk near the front of the latter stand two women facing the camera. To the left of the two buildings is an unpaved street that slopes up from the foregound into the background. At the right of the background are several utility posts and another bungalow, and to the left of the street are palm trees and other shrubbery. The date is stamped at the bottom right corner of the artifact. The photograph is adhered onto black paper indicating that it was once in an album. A white label on the top of the back reads, "Los Angeles tract / housing / May 9, 1926 / 02678." With slight yellowing of the paper and light creases at the top corners, the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
