LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA PROGRAM, MARCH 1-2, 1928 Color: Blue Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra program for 1-2 March 1928. The light blue cover has a logo of a lyre at the top, the orchestra name, at the center, the name of its founder, conductor and manager below the name, and the program item, date, and season dates are at the bottom. Details about the program are on the first page, followed by listings of the orchestra's directors, manager, advisory board, women's committee of the orchestra association, regional boards, and loge and box holders for the season. Photos of the conductor, Georg Schneevoigt, the featured pianist for an upcoming program, and a list of schools who took seats for their students precede a lengthy set of program notes. The centerfold has a promotional article about Los Angeles County. At the end of the program notes is the roster of orchestra musicians. The last page lists upcoming programs. Many advertisements, most from music-related companies and individuals, are throughout the program. On the front is a library stamp, the pencil inscription "Fine Art," and a label with the program date typed on it. Aside from this, the document is in good condition with light cover discoloration and staple tarnish.
