Description
A photograph of the Los Angeles water reservoir and Plaza view, ca. 1860s. At the foreground is the Los Angeles water reservoir. The bottom of the structure is made of red brick and the water tank at the top is made of wood. The reservoir helped to hold water from the Los Angeles River. Further in the background stands the three-story building, the Sisters of Charity school for girls. Other buildings can be seen, particularly an adobe building directly behind the water reservoir building. On reverse side of photo is a brief description of structures and location. Photo is adhered to glass and is in fair condition.
