Description

The front entrance of Los Angeles Polytechnic High School, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. Taken from down a street nearby, the front of the Neoclassical structure with two stories and a partial basement faces the photographer. Autos drive on the street next to the school, while the thoroughfare on which the photographer was has parked cars next to small commercial buildings. On the reverse is the ink inscription, "Polytechnic High School." Boyd, road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With light soiling and browning, the condition is good.
