Description

A rendering of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange building, 8 May 1929. The drawing shows the facade of the structure, which opened in 1931, including its grand entry and the multi-story office tower behind it. At the the bottom is the building name, name of its principal architect (Samuel Lunden), names of consulting architects (John and Donald Parkinson), the date, and the name of artist Del Roger Hayward. A pencil inscription on the reverse is the date "9-17-29." The item has been removed from a 1959 frame and remains taped to a matte. With a one and a half inch tear at the top of the drawing and soiling and stains to the matte, the overall condition is good.
