An unmounted cabinet card photograph of the Los Angeles Woman's Club building, ca. 1895. The view taken from an unpaved street with streetcar tracks on it shows the front and one side facade of the Mission Revival style structure on the corner of an intersection. Arched porticos surround the structure, which has a belfry-like tower in the front, a hipped tile roof, and other common features of the style. At right is the entrance and a tower for a church across the street. The club was founded in 1878 by Caroline Severance and the building said to have been built by Clara Burdette of Pasadena. There are no inscriptions and markings, however. With fading, light soiling and some small stains on the reverse, the condition is good.
