"LOUDEN MACHINERY COMPANY GENERAL CATALOG NUMBER 50" Color: Black; Blue; Red Catalog number 50, issued by the Louden Machinery Company, 1920. The 224-page artifact has a red hardcover with an ornate shield design in black ink at the front. At the top of this with a blue background is, "LOUDEN." A drawing of three farm buildings is within an oval shape below the latter. At the center in black is, "HAY UNLOADING TOOLS / DAIRY BARN EQUIPMENT / HORSE STABLE EQUIPMENT / LITTER AND FEED CARRIERS / BARN DOOR HANGERS / SPECIALTIES." At the left of the bottom is the year the company was established. At the center is the name of the company and its address at the right corner. Down the spine are the words, "LOUDEN BARN EQUIPMENT." At the beginning of the inside is a general index, a title page, a note from the head of the company, and an introduction to the catalog and company. There are a variety of tools and equipment available including hay-working and transportation tools; barn and garage door hangers; steel stalls, stanchions, and pens; dairy barn fittings; dairy and feed carriers and transporters; and barn plans. At the back is an index. Many black and white photographs and drawings are also included. With some abrasions; slightly dented corners; some surface soiling; light stains on the back; and small tears on pages 50-70, the object is in overall good condition.
