Color: Black; White
A carte de visite (CDV) of Lucinda (1860-1928) and Margarita Temple (1866-1953) with Julia Davis, godchild of the Temples' mother, Antonia Margarita, ca. 1875. Julia Davis is seated at left wearing a dark colored blouse with white collar and velvet bow, a similar colored skirt with trim and has what appears to be a fur on her lap. Margarita Temple is standing at center seen in upper torso because she is behind a small table and wears a white dress with a crucifix around her neck. Lucinda Temple sits at right with her arms leaning on the table, partially turned toward the camera. She wears a darker colored coat and skirt with trim and what may be a white blouse. All three girls have bows or ribbons in their hair. There was partial colorizing of parts of clothing on all three. The photo is in poor condition with the top corners missing, various pinholes at the bottom corners and cellophane tape attaching the photo to a pink matte. Printed at the bottom front "Wolfensteins, Los Angeles, Cal." Written in pencil at the bottom front is "NO 2." On the back is a stamp indicating that Wolfenstein had won an award at the Southern District [California] Fair. Another stamp shows the California state seal. There is also a part of a pasted ad for the Chicago Art Company. In pencil at back bottom, "2-606/186/2nd Orig."
