2025.152.1.1Description
A cabinet card photograph, "Lucky Baldwin's Grounds," Arcadia, ca. 1890s. The view is of the lush landscape at Baldwin's Rancho Santa Anita, including a variety of tall trees, a walk lined with shrubs and bushes and what may have been a structure tucked in the profusion of plants near the center. A pasted-down caption at the lower right reads "Lucky Baldwin's Grounds / He has 3000 acres." With significant bowing, some silvering, minor matte edge rubbing and very light soiling, the condition is good.
