Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Agnes Temple's dog, Mackie Boy by a marina, March 8, 1931. The terrier stands at the right of the center on the stone-lined shore. It has white fur with darker fur on the ears, around the eyes, and on the sides of the neck. It is on a leash which is held in both hands of a woman, who could be Agnes Temple, and who stands at the back, though her head is out of view at the top. She wears gloves, long dark coat, dark dress, and holds a paper bag against her chest with her right forearm. Across the background are wood bridges that go over the water and are connected to docks where some boats are tied. Written in pencil at the top of the back is, "March 8/31," and a stamp with the number, "540." The photograph was housed in Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With some water damage and light stains, the artifact is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
