Description

MAN MAKING ADOBE BRICKS FOR LA CASA NUEVA, CA. 1924. A black and white reproduction photograph of a man making adobe bricks for La Casa Nueva, ca. 1924. Using a mold the man is smoothing the surface of a brick. A bucket is at his left and a sort of scraper lies next to the bucket, evidently to smooth the brick surfaces. Other adobes lie in rows to dry. A wheelbarrow is behind the worker. The location is in the walnut grove, south of the building site. From a negative of Thomas W. Temple II owned by Ruth Ann Michaelis. Number-Units: 1
