"Mandarin Chop Suey Cook Book," (2nd edition, Chicago: The Pacific Trading Company,) 1928. The 94-page softcover book has a brown cover with the front and back being identical. There is a floral border, within which is the title, at the top, Chinese characters at the center, the phrase "RECIPES FOR A VARIETY OF SAVORY, / DELICIOUS AND WHOLESOME / GENUINE CHINESE DISHES" toward the bottom, and the price of one dollar and the phrase "Worth a Hundred" at the bottom left and right. There is a two-page introduction and then the contents, which are listed alphabetically like an index and include various Chinese food menus, as well as items on growing foods, where to buy Chinese groceries, serving leftovers, and specialized menus. The last seventeen pages are memoranda sections for notes. With minor abrasions, light creasing, light soiling, and a few stains, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
