Description

Man's necktie: four-in-hand style tie in shades of brown, gold, burgundy, and black. The knitted and woven design is made with smooth-weave sections alternating with contrasting open and diamond knit sections. Tie has blunt ends. A tag sewn on the back tells the wearer to "wear with brown or tan suit". It is hard to date this necktie as this knitted style was revived in the late 1950s [four-in-hand ties not shown in catalogs after 1925]. Necktie is slightly misshapen from wear and has a weak spot at the inside center back. Overall physical condition and overall appearance is good. WEMBLEY/WEAR WITH BROWN OR TAN SUIT [tag sewn on back of tie].
