Description

A bed, once owned by Margarita Antonia Temple Rowland, ca. 1860s. The bed has several parts, including: a) headboard; b) footboard; c-d) side rails; e-j) support rails. While some research needs to be done on the style and date, it appears to be consistent with Margarita Temple's age, she being born in 1866. The bed has a matching dresser, which is item .2, and was at the Temple Homestead at Whittier Narrows, as well as at Mrs. Rowland's home on the Homestead from about 1920 to 1940. In general, the condition is good with some scratches, dents, bumps, and damage to finishes.
