Description

Color: Black and white A black and white photograph of the Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum's front (or west) elevation, taken by Max van Balgooy, January 1993. The Classical Revival-style structure is seen from the southwest, with the entrance behind a peristyle supported by four columns. On the architrave above the entrance are the words "WALTER P. TEMPLE MEMORIAL." At the apex of the roof is a cross. On the roof, both on the main part of the structure and on the sides, where the crypts are located, are sheer plastic tarps to protect the structure from further rain damage, after leaking had been detected. Surrounding the structure are boxwood hedges and, at far right, can be seen a little of the area behind the mausoleum, while, at far left, can be seen some trees in the parking lot in the background. The image is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
