Description

Color: Gray; Green A black and white reproduction photograph of the mausoleum in El Campo Santo, 1966. The front of the gray structure is at center, without the cross at the apex, which was later restored. There are also no outer metal doors, as there are now. The building is surrounded on the sides by very large shrubs and bushes, while part of the sidewalks and lawn are visible. This image was probably taken on a visit by Loretta Berner and Edith Temple Stanton, daughter of John H. and Anita D. Temple, who owned the site in the 1890s. On the reverse in blue ink, written probably by Berner, who donated the photograph, is "Workman / Temple / Mausoleum / 1966." With little discernible wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
