Description

Color: Black; Blue; Red "McCall's," February 1928 issue. The front cover has the title, month and year of the issue, and its price at the top. Below this is a color image of a woman with her hands at her chest and head tilted back. What appears to be confetti is fluttering about the woman. At the bottom is the phrase "Beginning / THE GREAT MCCALL NOVEL," and there is a stamped mailing label at the bottom right corner. The 136-page periodical is divided into sections, comprised of poetry, fiction, articles, and fashions. Articles include material on house building; cookery, recipes, and menus; world affairs; the works of author Zane Grey; health and beauty; gardening; and gift giving. Fashions mainly concern those for women, though there is a section for children. Illustrations include photographs and drawings or other types and there are many advertisements throughout. In good condition, the item has cover creases, dented corners, light soiling, fingerprints on the back, and a few small tears.
