A metal piece, possibly from the top cover of a coffin, ca. 1870, unearthed when the crypt was dug for Nellie D. Temple, April 1998. The piece is a corner section with a curved edge and beveled section next to where glass probably was laid. On the reverse may be residue from the adhesive found on some of the glass pieces in this accession. There are several sections of encrustation with dirt and other organic materials and, with heavy rusting and pitting, the object is in poor condition.
