Description

MEXICAN CITY SCENE, POSSIBLE MEXICO CITY, SUMMER 1922 Color: Black; White A negative of a plaza and surrounding area in a Mexican city, probably Mexico City, taken in the summer of 1922. The view is from an upper story of a building at one edge of the plaza, which has radial walkways from a center and contains statues, fountains, and light poles. A broad street is in the foreground, with a streetcar at the right. In the background are many commercial buildings, some with signs in Spanish. Throngs of people are in the plaza and streets. It is assumed this image was taken while the Temple family vacationed in Mexico. With little evidence of wear or damage, the item is determined to be in good condition. Number-Units: 1
