Description

Color: Color A color postcard of a miniature castle in Alhambra, postmarked January 10, 1927. The building, which was actually a one-story bungalow built to replicate a castle, has a tower and four levels. Many of the windows have iron balconies. The front door is arched and above this is the address, although it is not discernible. At the front of the house is a small yard with a brick wall. A small tree and some colorful flowers are in the yard. Surrounding the structure are palm trees, flowers, and bushes. In black printing at the top left is "Miniature Castle, Alhambra, Calif." Along the left of the back is "Pub. for Wilson's Book Store, Alhambra, Calif." A description of the image is to the right of the latter. A red two cent stamp is at the top right corner. Also on the back are a message and an address handwritten in blue ink. The artifact is in good condition with minor abrasions at the corners and a small stain at the bottom of the front.
