Description

"MIRACLES IN PAINT" PAMPHLET FROM THE PAINE MIRACLE DOORS CATALOG Color: Black; Red; White A pamphlet called "Miracles in Paint," distributed by The Collier-Barnett Co. and tipped into "Paine Miracle Doors," a catalog issued by the Paine Lumber Company, 1924. The front cover has an image of a black wood door with a black and red floor and dinette table and chairs, as well as a black baseboard and a blue and white wall border, supposed to be in a kitchen or breakfast room of a house. At the top left is a logo in red and white with the words "ORIGINAL / PAINE / Miracle," referring to doors made by the Paine Lumber Company. At the bottom within a gold frame-like border is the title "MIRACLES in Paint" and the name of the distributor, The Collier-Barnett Co. The pamphlet has a gatefold, which opens to reveal eight panels, all showing color illustrations of house room settings and differently colored doors, trim and walls. Furniture is shown near the doors and there is a brief description of the Paine Miracle door for each. At the bottom left or right on some of the panels are color illustrations of buildings, such as schools, apartment houses, and larger homes and the Paine Miracle door logo. See item .3 for an identical item distributed by a different company. In good condition, the pamphlet has some surface soiling and creases.
