MISSION PLAYHOUSE PROGRAM FOR "GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES"
Entry/Object ID
2005.587.1.1
Description
MISSION PLAYHOUSE PROGRAM FOR "GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES," September 1927. The item contains a copy of a letter from Mission Playhouse founder John Steven McGroarty about the play, the cast of characters and list of acts, and many area advertisements, including one for McGroarty's souvenir book about the Mission Play. At the front is a list of those involved in the Mission Playhouse Corporation, which recently completed the new theater, a director of which was Milton Kauffman, Walter Temple's business manager. Temple was a major investor in the building, as well. There is some heavy browning on the covers, and edge and corner wear, but the interior pages are clean and bright, so the overall condition is fair.
