Description

Mission San Gabriel, ca. 1890s. The photo is taken from Mission Road, which is unpaved, but the two images have very different views. The left image captures the entire south elevation of the old church and only a portion of the rectory roof, while the right image takes in about half of each and appears closer to each. A pencil inscription on the reverse reads "St. Gabrial [sic] Mission." With soiling, browning, and edge rubbing, the overall condition is fair.
