A Kodak snapshot of the Mission San Gabriel, January 1893. Taken from a field across Mission Drive, the view shows the belfry and much of the south elevation of the old church. A woman is posed in front of the belfry and there are a couple of trees, including a pepper at the center. The date is inscribed in pencil on the reverse, which is preprinted with information from a store in Bay City, Michigan. With heavy soiling and edge wear to the mount, the condition is fair.
