A pamphlet "San Gabriel Mission," printed by The Albertype Company, Brooklyn, New York, and published by the Mission Curio and Art Shop, San Gabriel, ca. 1927. The item has a cardstock cover with a brown ribbon as a binder. On the front cover is the mission name, flanked on the left by a photograph of the mission belfry and on the right by a drawing of poppies, the state flower. On the back is a view of the south side of the mission church and rectory. The first page has a short narrative about the mission and the names of the printer and publisher. What follows are twelve images of the mission, the nearby Mission Playhouse, a structure mythically noted as "Ramona's Home"; the Mission Curio and Art Shop; area streets; and a San Gabriel Valley view. With some corner abrasions; dented corners; slight soiling; page browning; and some finger stains on the cover, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
