Color: Black; White
A black and white stereoview of Mission San Gabriel, manufactured by the Keystone View Company, ca. 1900. On the front are two identical side-by-side images of the Mission belfry. There are six arched openings in the belfry in three rows. Two of the bells are missing: one at the far left of the second row and one at the top. A cross tops the belfry. A bush, two small palm trees, and part of a sidewalk are at the foreground. Two women stand on the sidewalk: one is at the far left and the other at the far right. The latter has one hand on one of the palm trees. Both women wear long dark dresses and hats. The manufacturer's name is at the far left, and at the far right are their locations. At the top center is the number "241." The name of the Mission is near the bottom right with the number "13556." On the back is a short history of the work of Spanish missionaries in the United States, Los Angeles, and the Mission. In good condition, the artifact has only a slightly dented corner.
