Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Mission Walkway at the west side, ca. 1920s. Across the center is a wall that curves up and to the right that has eight arches. Below the second arch is a tile-lined concrete bench. At the far right is a round pillar and at the top of this and the wall is a wood trellis with some bare grape-vines scattered throughout. Shadows from the trellis reflect off the plant-lined paved walk at the bottom. On the walk near the foreground is a tile crest, though its designs are not discernable. Stamped at the top and the center of the back is the word, "VELOX." The photograph was housed in Agnes Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With light water damage and stains along the top, the artifact is in good condition overall. Number-Units: 1
