Description

MISSION WALKWAY, LA CASA NUEVA, AND TEPEE FROM THE WEST Color: Black; White A black and white reproduction photograph of the Mission Walkway, La Casa Nueva, and Tepee from the west, ca. 1928. The walkway is across the center with the vines of the grape arbor at the top hanging over the arched walls. La Casa Nueva, and many trees and bushes, are behind the walkway at the left. Only the adobe home's tile roof, chimney, west side of the second floor, and portions of the second floor windows are visible. At the far right is the upper portion of the Tepee, which is topped by branch-like ornaments and a chimney. Across the foreground are palm trees and a dirt field which appears to have been tilled. Written in blue pencil at the top left corner of the back is, "RALPH & CAROL TEMPLE COLLECTION / LCN WEST SIDE." There are two identical images in the accession with the negatives being items .2.1-.10. Both artifacts are in good condition with no signs of wear or damage. Number-Units: 2
