Description

"Modern Fire-Proof Construction," issued by Western Expanded Metal and Fire Proofing Company, San Francisco, ca. 1910. The item explains the process of construction using expanded metal lath over wood sheathing on wood studs and then covered with a cement finish. There are diagrams, drawings, and photographs of houses with the materials, including some in Los Angeles, as illustrations. The name of the southern California agent, in Los Angeles, is on the front cover. With soiling, creases, browning, and edge wear to the covers, but generally clean pages, the condition is good.
