Description

A colored photographic postcard with a panoramic view of Montreal from Mount Royal. The city is seen spread beneath the mountain with many buildings seen, though little or no detail ascertained. At the rear is the St. Lawrence River with a long bridge running at background right toward background center. On the other side of the river are a series of hills. The unused postcard is in good condition with very minor edge abrasion and reverse surface soiling. The Temple sons were in Montreal for New Year's vacation in 1928 and Thomas Temple described climbing Mount Royal for snow sledding in a letter to his father. The caption reads, "Montreal from Mount Royal."
