Description

Color: Black; Blue; Green; Red; Yellow "Mosaic Faience Tiles," issued by the Mosaic Tile Company, 1929. The 79-page catalog has a green hardcover with the title across the top and the name and location of the manufacturer at the bottom, all in black ink. At the center is an illustration of a blue, red, and yellow tile panel, at the center of which is a royal lion. At the beginning of the inside are a title page and an introduction. The first half of the artifact provides instructions for building mantels, fountains, and floors using the manufacturer's product. The second half lists Spanish tile, decorative inserts, borders, trims, fountain figures, and mouldings. Informational text, as well as many color illustrations and black and white photographs are included. With abrasions; brittleness and tears along the spine; foxing; soiling; stains on the cover; and a loose flysheet, the object is in poor condition.
