Description

PHOTOGRAPH, PANORAMA OF "MOSLEM PATROL, FIFTY-FIFTH ANNUAL SESSION OF THE IMPERIAL COUNCIL, A.A.O.N.M.S., LOS ANGELES, 1929." The group of some 130 men, most of which wear costumes with vague Muslim references and others wearing suits with fraternal regalia, are posed on bleachers in four rows. The leaders of the local council appear to be the few men at the center of the front row, while three flag bearers stand at the far right. In the background are two large buildings, including the Mayflower Hotel at the right (determined by the sign in the background) and what is likely the Los Angeles Public Library at left. The caption is at the bottom left and the number "S-50" and stamp "Keystone / L.A." are at the right. At the reverse upper right edge is the pencil inscription "BK114." Except for some edge wear and stains at the lower left, the condition is good.
