"Motor Life," February 1928, published by the Motor Life Publishing Company, Chicago. The 40-page artifact has the title at the top of the front cover with "Land - Air - Water" underneath. At the bottom are the issue date, price, and four topics found within. The rest of the cover is taken up by an image by Carl James Shreve of people gathered around a car in a natural setting with snow and pine trees. Articles include such topics as new 1928 models and values; taxes paid by motorists in the U. S. in 1927; Abraham Lincoln's years at Salem, Illinois; future auto bodies; George Washington; auto shows; 1928 boats; aviation; ; and regular features on car maintenance, editorials, finanial news and others. At the top of the back cover is a penciled name, presumably of a previous owner. With some cover creases, light soiling, a few stains, and small tears and abrasions on the spine, as well as light page discoloration, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
