Description

A photograph of Motor Transportation Company vehicles, Los Angeles, by Livingston Company, ca. 1919. The photo taken on a street that appears to be residential but adjacent to a commercial section of the city shows eight men posed in and around a large truck packed with burlap sacks secured to an open flat bed; a smaller truck similar packed; and an even smaller truck with nothing in its bed. A man at the left carries a sign promoting the durability of Goodrich tires as used by the company and its vehicles. In the background are several brick commercial buldings and in the foreground is a driveway, lawn and sidewalk for what is presumed to be a home. With significant damage to the mount, including tape-repaired tears, losses, soiling, stains and other wear, but the photo having soiling and some lighter damage, the condition is fair.
