Description

Color: Black; White "Motoring to Southern California," a guidebook published by the Touring Bureau of the Automobile Club of Southern California, July 1933 edition of a 1920s original. The front cover has the title at the top, an image of a car parked by a seaside bluff with a palm tree, mountains, and other landscaping, and the publisher's name and logo at the bottom. The 32-page publication contains a list of club officers, directors, and advisory board members, locations of the club's headquarters and branch locations, a foreword, general information about routes, a description of the Old Spanish Trail and suggested routes for following the general trail direction, descriptions of major U. S. highways and routes following them, and other routes. At the rear is information on accomodations, clothing to wear when touring by car, license instructions, notes on arriving in southern California, and a list of national parks, their seasons, and fees for cars. With light creases, slight yellowing, light printing fading, pest damage losses to the top left of the back cover, light stains at the top of the front and the top right of the back, and staple tarnish, the overall condition is good.
