A photograph of four persons at a grave site in an unidentified cemetery, assumed to be in the Los Angeles area, taken by George Steckel, Los Angeles, ca. 1892. The two men and two women are kneeling or stooping next to a relatively new grave site with a new-looking marker for a Norwegian native who died in September 1892. The name on the stone is not entirely readable, nor is it known at which cemetery the photo was taken. While the mat has chipping, corner rubbing, and wear, the image is clear and the overall condition is good.Lexicon
