MOURNERS AT WALTER P. TEMPLE MEMORIAL MAUSOLEUM FOR JOHN H. TEMPLE FUNERAL
Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction photograph of mourners at the funeral of John H. Temple at the Walter P. Temple Memorial Mausoleum, April 1926. The structure, which has a pitched roof and columns across the front, is at the right. It is topped by a cross with the building's name across the top of the front. Many people walk into the structure while others stand conversing at the center and left. One man at the left stands facing the cameras. Everyone wears coats and dark clothing. Across the left of the background are bushes, a fence, and part of Puente in the distance. Visible are some of the town's buildings, trees, and Puente or P-Hill. Written in blue pencil at the top left corner of the back is, "RALPH & CAROL TEMPLE COLLECTION / WALTER P. TEMPLE MEMORIAL MAUSOLEUM." The image is believed to have been taken during the funeral of John Harrison Temple. Negatives to the images in the accession are .2.1-.10. The artifact is in good condition with no signs of wear or damage.
