Description

MUSEUM OF HISTORY, SCIENCE, AND ART, EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES Color: Blue; Green; Red; White; Yellow A colored photo postcard of the Museum of History, Science, and Art, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, dated 5 November 1920. The image shows the museum from a grassy area along Exposition Boulevard to the northeast. The brick building with a large central domed rotunda faces a matching walled area that was once a racetrack, but is now a rose garden. Leaning against the wall is a man. Other than grass, a few trees are in view. At the upper right is the caption, "Museum of History, Science, and Art, / Exposition Park, Los Angeles, Cal." On the reverse is a message and address in blue ink, dated 5 November 1920. A one-cent postage stamp, a cancellation stamp, and a postmark, from the same date as the message, and from Van Nuys, California, are at the upper right. With some corner rubbing and slight yellowing, the card is in generally good condition.
