MYRNA SAXE INSTALLING CEILING BORDER STRIP, MAUSOLEUM INTERIOR
Color: Blue; Gray
A color polaroid photograph of the south side of the mausoleum interior and the restoration of the ceiling border strip, ca. April 1979. Myrna Saxe has begun applying the strip along the southern side and has her right hand smoothing out the strip as it is applied to the ceiling. Her left hand holds the strip, which descends toward the floor. Below the ceiling, especially visible on the east side, is the frieze, which appears to have been recently restored. At the right, but hard to see, because of the angle, are some of the crypts with flowers in glass vases. An inscription in pencil at the bottom of the artifact reads "Myrna Saxe Instaling [sic] canvas / Bordar [sic] after restoring same." With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
