A linoleum catalog issued by The Nairn Linoleum Company, 1923. The front cover has a large bordered area with a blue background, within which is a shield-like area with a white background. In the latter is the catalog title, the dealer name and location, and the year the catalog was published. The manufacturer's logo and name are at the bottom in the blue background. At the top right is an ink inscription reading "Hattie Williams." On the title page are locations of the dealer and well as the name and headquarters of the manufacturer. Designed for dealers, page two discusses how profits can be made in linoleum departments of stores and the following two pages are general descriptions of models and products. Product listings are my model and type, with color images of patterns and brief descriptions of the items. Every few pages there are color drawings of room settings in which linoleum is utilized. These not only include kitchens, bathrooms, and pantries, but all areas of the home, such as bedrooms, living rooms, and others. Offices are also pictured with linoleum floors and rugs and other floor coverings are shown complementing the linoleum. In fact, some linoleum products are designed to look like rugs. More information on the products is at the back, as well. With minor abrasions, creases, dents, overall surface soiling and one small tear, at the bottom of the spine, on the cover, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
