Color: Black; Green; Red; Yellow "Needlecraft," August 1928 issue. The front cover has the title, month and year of the issue, its price, and the address label at the top. Below this is a color image of a young girl playing at the seashore, wearing a black and red bathing costume and holding a bucket in one hand. Articles concern making filet-crochet buffet sets; dish-drying towels; the use of glazed chintz; beginning embroidery with Roman cutwork; porch pillows; mother and daughter frocks for summer; menus and recipes for August; home decoration in Colonial style; bathing suits for toddlers and young children; other children's clothing ideas; and a page of needlecrafting items from readers. There are many illustrations, both photographs and drawings or other types and there are many advertisements throughout the 30-page document. In fair condition, the item has cover acid burns; creases; surface soiling, folds on corners, foxing, and a few stains and tears; as well as some paper discoloration, creases, pencil and crayon markings on some pages; and overall wear.
