EIGHT GIRLS AT THE HOMESTEAD SWIMMING POOL, CA. 1921 Color: Black; White A negative of eight girls at the Homestead swimming pool, ca. 1921. In the background is part of the water, a ladder and slide and a small portion of Puente Hill. In the foreground is a dark green bush or shrub. On the reverse side of the photograph that was developed from this negative (object id#2000.111.1.1) in black ink is the inscription "At the Temple Ranch / l. to r. / Carolina Rowland LOWER, Laurita Lugo HILLS, ---------, / Elvira Rowland WARD," written by Carolina Rowland Lower.
