NEGATIVE STRIP OF 1901 SOIL MAP AND OIL WELL IMAGES

A negative strip with six images of details from a 1901 soil map of the San Gabriel Valley and photos of oil wells at the Montebello oil fields, 1917. The first two images are of details of the soil map, with the second printed as 2001.178.1.3. The other four are of the Baldwin well 1 and a group of wells, including Baldwin 1-3 and Temple 1 at the Montebello oil fields. Of these, the second and the fourth were printed as 2001.178.1.1 and 1.2. As a newly-produced artifact, the contact sheet is in mint condition.
