Description
NEGATIVE STRIP OF A HOUSE AND OIL WELL IN LOS ANGELES
Color: Black; White
A negative strip with two images--one of an oil well and another of a house in Los Angeles, 1923. The view of the house shows the front entrance from the driveway, while that of the oil well is taken from across the street and shows the derrick in a field near housing and other wells in the background. They were copied from a January 1923 issue of "California Illustrated Review" and none were printed. As a newly-produced artifact, the contact sheet is in mint condition.
