Description
NEGATIVE STRIP OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES AND RACETRACK IMAGES
Color: Black; White
A negative strip with six images of downtown Los Angeles commercial buildings and an automobile racing track in the city, 1923. The images of downtown are from two sections of the business district and show buildings, streets, cars, and pedestrians. The views of the racetrack show cars roaring down a straighaway with people in the grandstands in the background. They were copied from a January 1923 issue of "California Illustrated Review" and none were printed. As a newly-produced artifact, the contact sheet is in mint condition.
