Description
NEGATIVE STRIP OF PHOTOS OF MARIA WORKMAN AND THE ENGLISH FAMILY HOME
Color: Black; White
A strip negative with two images of Maria Boyle Workman and the Workman family home in England. Both exposures are labeled one and are separated from the other negatvies that accompanied each on the roll. The view of the Workman House shows the building from the street and includes the entire front facade of the structure. The portrait of Maria Boyle Workman is from her wedding day in October 1867 and shows her in a head-and-shoulder view. This latter was printed and is item 1.11 in this accession. As a newly-made artifact, the strip is in mint condition.
