Description

NEGATIVE STRIP OF PHOTOS OF THE WORKMAN FAMILY AND HOLLENBECK PARK Color: Black; White A strip negative with six images of the Workman family and Hollenbeck Park. Exposures 25-27 are of members of the family in Seattle, visiting William H. Workman, Jr. in 1905. They are posed informally on lawn furniture and include William H. Workman, his wife Maria Boyle Workman, and son William H., Jr. Exposures 28-30 are of the lake at Hollenbeck Park, probably shortly after the park's creation in the 1890s. There is little development in the area around the lake, except for a walk on one side of the lake and a few houses visible in the background. Exposures 25 and 28 were printed and are numbers 1.9 and 1.24 from this accession. As a newly-made artifact, the strip is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
